Our Top 5 Rotisserie Dishes

Hey everyone,

In this month’s blog, we thought we’d talk about something we all love… food. More specifically, we thought we would discuss rotisserie food. With summer just around the corner and with everyone keen to crank up their rotisserie, we thought we’d give you our top five rotisserie meals.

5) Classic Rotisserie Chicken

You simply can’t beat a classic, can you?

Easy, cheap, and convenient, a classic rotisserie chicken ticks all the boxes for a yummy family meal. Start by cooking through at a low – mid temperature before cranking up the heat and adding more oil to get a nice and crispy skin.

Season with some honey, salt and pepper and you’re in business.

4) Rotisserie Herb and Red wine leg of lamb

For our number four choice,

we’re going a touch fancier with a marinated leg of lamb. Leave your leg of lamb to marinate for two to three hours in a mixture of herbs, oil, stock, and red wine. Then cook your lamb on the rotisserie for 20 to 30 minutes per pound of meat.

Don’t forget to let the lamb rest once cooked for around 20 minutes to keep it nice and tender.

3) Rotisserie Turkey

Now we know this may be a controversial choice

for our number three slot given your classic Christmas turkey is always cooked in the oven. Fear not, if the oven happens to break down on Christmas, you can save the day with an even better option.

Season and stuff your turkey then cook on the rotisserie for the same length of time that you would in the oven. Good as gold.

2) Glazed ham

To be 100% honest with you…

I’m drooling even writing the words “glazed ham’. Yum. The advantage of cooking your classic glazed ham on the rotisserie is that you can add more flavour than you can in the oven.

The natural heat from a rotisserie grill will also naturally form more of a perfect sugar crust. Delicious.

1)  Marinated Roast Beef

Finally, our number one rotisserie meal – Marinated roast beef.

Budget friendly and full of flavour, a marinated roast beef is great option for when you’re entertaining many guests.

We recommend a marinade with garlic, salt, thyme, oil, rosemary, and pepper. Leave in the fridge overnight. Then chuck on the rotisserie for an hour and a half the next day for perfect results. Remember to let the meat rest for while after cooking to lock in all that juicy flavour.

What did you think of our list? Any of your rotisserie favourites not make the cut? Let us know.
